Aren't states exploiting this whole Medicaid thing?

While states are the ones that implement Medicaid, they actually get federal support. Poor states get higher percentage of FMAP. I think states are laundering by taxing healthcare providers then just reimburse them. So it appears they spend money on Medicaid then the federal government sends more money. Every 100 dollars spent in on this hack, the state steals 150 dollars from the feds. This is just so wrong! How can we end this?

But hey, the good news is that people are talking about it more, and awareness is the first step, right? we've got to push for more transparency and accountability in the system. Sure, it won't be easy, but if enough of us raise our voices and get the right folks in charge, change can happen if we keep the pressure on

Look, I'm not a fan of the government, but I think
Ending it would need a big federal policy changes to Medicaid financing rules, which is a complex legislative challenge

The whole 'tax providers, then spend it to get federal cash' loop is wild
It's messed up, for sure. How to fix it? Good question, probably way above my pay grade, haha
